Oh-Bit

When it’s all

Said and done

Carved in stone

Carved in flesh

Wounds that never heal

Pains-taking angels

Encircle our bond

Feathers falling from their wings

Like fresh snow

To those in the know…

A trail to follow their lead

An obituary

Of a life lived

Of a lust for life

Of love, pure love

So precious, indeed

Fingers flicking across a harp

The melody of the heavens

Soft, yet sharp

Like the pointed edges of my heart

The Edge

The edge of sanity,

The edge of life,

Teetering, waiting,

On the edge of a knife.

Wanting, needing,

Fucking, breeding,

Cumming, seeding,

Living, feeling.

The edge of tomorrow,

The edge of the future,

Moving, progressing,

Picking loose life’s sutures.

Wanting, needing,

Fucking, breeding,

Cumming, seeding,

Living, feeling.

The edge of a breakthrough,

The edge of the end,

Reviewing, renewing,

Forever just around the bend.

How?

Living in the here,

Living in the now.

Asking myself why?

Asking myself how?

Asking the world,

What did we all do?

To deserve this uncertainty,

To receive this truth.

But she’d answered before asked,

If truth be known.

She answered through fire,

Through hurricanes blown.

Through drought and through flood.

Through overcrowding and spilt blood.

She answered before I asked,

Clearly and understood.

We’re dying in the here,

We’re dying in the now.

And we don’t need to ask why,

For we already know how.

Simple Things

I like the simple things in life,

This you know very well.

I’m not really extravagant,

I’ve no frills of which to tell.

A snuggle, a cuddle,

Slipping between the sheets.

Nights with you my love,

That’s all I need.

Some might think it boring,

Call me lazy for what I’d do.

But I don’t care for what some’d say,

As long as I’m being lazy with you.

I like the simple things in life,

That involve just you and me.

The pair of us and nothing else,

Loving, living, free!
