Kindling Hell Upon Earth

As night falls upon the world,
Hot winds raise flames to burn.
Nothing stands in this fire’s path,
Satan’s silhouette rises to spurn.

Pitiful attempts dare extinguish his will,
With a single breathe he gives destruction wings.
Kindling hell upon earth with helping human hands.
Seeking salvation too late you sing.

Oh lord God help us,
How can you let us burn?
If you have to ask, comes his response,
You clearly need to learn.

I am the way.
I am the light.
But through your own actions and greed,
You brought his flames this night.

So as night falls upon the world,
Hot winds raise flames to burn.
Not even God stands in this fire’s path,
Satan’s silhouette rises to spurn.

Pitiful attempts dare extinguish his will,
With a single breathe he raises destruction through fire.
Kindling hell upon earth with helping human hands.
God watches as you and your greed burn on this self made funeral pyre.

How?

Living in the here,

Living in the now.

Asking myself why?

Asking myself how?

Asking the world,

What did we all do?

To deserve this uncertainty,

To receive this truth.

But she’d answered before asked,

If truth be known.

She answered through fire,

Through hurricanes blown.

Through drought and through flood.

Through overcrowding and spilt blood.

She answered before I asked,

Clearly and understood.

We’re dying in the here,

We’re dying in the now.

And we don’t need to ask why,

For we already know how.
